An interesting read that was somewhat predictable, but good nonetheless about who we are and what we want.

This is actually one of my favorite books written by Diana Wynne Jones, maybe because it has to do with stubborn family members and magic. The ending seemed perhaps a little rushed to me, but everything else was very well paced.

No way would I have guessed a story about a Goon harassing a writer for payment would end up being some kind of supernatural family squabble. Doesn't quite hang together in the end, but still a very entertaining story.

"What have I done to deserve Awful?" Quentin demanded. "Fifi, forget the Goon and save my life by giving me some tea. Everyone forget the Goon."
