Not very engaging. Not enough illustrations, little makes you want to read the text. Doesn't take advantage of the book medium. Books from the publisher DK much better. Disappointing.

Instead of line drawings I think actual photographs of the material would have been more illustrative.

It's adapted from a podcast, so the stories are snippet sized, but a good read for those living in cities who have often wondered about certain ubiquitous elements. The illustrations are lovely as well. A fun read for those into urban design
