What beautiful, heroic people!

I saw the movie and I wondered why the Special Forces unit took over five hours to help the local people deal with the terrorists. It is not as simple as dialing 911 and getting the cops to your house in five minutes. The terrorists went to the Mumbai Hotel and easily shot the hotel guests at point blank range in the head. I was expecting a hero to emerge so that she or he could take out the terrorists and save the day. ***In the movie, did Brother Bull end up paying money to the families of the terrorists? Apparently, the terrorists were to sacrifice their lives for the cause of religion. In exchange, Brother Bull was to pay the families of the terrorists who died from mortal wounds while fighting against the Special Forces.

A difficult but important impetus in diverse people’s lives; a true story, grim and bloody, that shows the beliefs we hold make us who/what we are.

I am ashamed to report that I did not remember this major terrorist attack. It is, of course, very violent to watch, but to their credit many of the staff of the Taj Hotel chose to stay and protect the guests instead of saving their own lives. Dev Patel is an amazing young actor. I fell in love with him in Slumdog Millionaire, and have continued to admire is work in The Man Who Knew Infinity and Lion. Despite the violence I recommend this film highly. Kristi & Abby Tabby

Mumbai is a city over 13 million people and in order to establish any law and order, police force, firefighters, first responders must be in significant numbers....So, except that many people died unfortunately, everything else in this movie doesn't make sense! Or does it?
