There's a murky tenuous balance between reality and fiction. A passionate filmmaker, creating a film based upon a true crime, casts an unknown mysterious young woman bearing a disturbing resemblance to the femme fatale in the story. He finds himself unsuspectingly drawn into a complex web of haunting intrigue, obsessed with the woman, the crime, her possibly notorious past, and the disturbing complexity between art and truth.

This is a 2010 American thriller directed by Monte Hellman.
It is Hellman's first feature film in 21 years.
I don't think the director knows how to make a film or maybe, he forgot it.
The first twenty minutes don't grab my attention at all.
The film seems to go nowehere.
So I simply quit viewing.

Road to Nowhere is not a typical movie. Rather it is an homage to directors and to the process of making movies. The storyline is hard to follow because reality and fiction blend together. However, the movie does have some interesting scenes and the acting is well done.

Not exactly a thrill a minute and kind of a mess, but also plenty to enjoy visually.

This confusing movie (largely because - it's confused!) is aptly named: It is most definitely on a "road to nowhere"! WARNING: Get off - before I did! You'll be doing yourself a favour!
